A little irony is that Dru and Freida mutually did not get along in real life, so much so that she mauled him on two different occasions. Though to be fair, by that time, she was getting grumpy with old age and going deaf, so in part, he may have surprised her by dottering into her. He was nearly blind and and awfully rickety by that point as well.
