Erma's pistol is roughly equivalent to the Czech vz61 in 7.65x17 (32ACP) and against the un-armored ILR troops at such close range, is up to the job. The ILR troops have carbines that don't have a close analog, in that the ammo is a caseless round with a very small sub-calibre sabot-ed projectile for hypervelocity effect. Erma's armor prevents penitration, but it is soft, intended more for fragment protection, so there is still some impact carry though. Though not well laid out- Erma has NOT been blasted back by the shots hitting her, that kind of action is just bad Hollywood, but is badly jumping/back-peddling as she is getting shot.
